We carry out educational projects to reduce disinformation and improve public debate. At chequeado.com/aprender, we publish everything we do: we produce innovative content and resources, experiment with different formats, and develop educational research and training activities on both small and large scales.
We follow two main lines of work focused on two key actors. On one hand, we work with journalists, communicators and media outlets to strengthen their training in data journalism and their knowledge of disinformation and, also, to expand and reinforce the fact-checking movement in Argentina and Latin America. Students and journalism professors also participate in this line of work.
On the other hand, we are particularly interested in Media and Information Literacy for teenagers. To achieve this, we ally with key stakeholders: high school teachers. We produce resources and share innovative experiences to help them incorporate the teaching of critical thinking skills into their classes, which enable their students to develop autonomy in seeking information and actively participating in public debate.
