The Fundación La Voz Pública para la Verificación del Discurso Público (in english, The Public Voice for Public Discourse Verification Foundation) / Chequeado is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit organization established in 2011, and authorized to operate as such by Resolution No. 1392 of the General Inspectorate of Justice (see more in Accountability). 

To ensure our sustainability and independence, we have a diversified funding strategy that involves a balance between various sources of financing:

  • Individual donors
  • Corporate support
  • Chequeado’s own activities (such as spaces in other media, organization of workshops and events on public discourse verification)
  • International cooperation

Who support our work

Since 2020, the incomes are reported according to the audited fiscal year. Likewise, sectors have been redefined for greater clarity in reporting.
